Creative Wedding Proposal ideas
If you were to compare a wedding proposal in 1940 compared to 2016, you’d see that everything has gotten bigger, better, and more extravagant. This is because people want to gain the public’s eye and approval. They may also want to secretly become social media stars. Because of this, we’ve all seen tons of out of the box and creative proposals online, being spread from Facebook to Facebook page. Ultimately, this makes it hard for some people to come up with the perfectly creative and “never been done” before proposal. In this article, we’ll give you quite a few creative proposal ideas.
Scavenger hunt proposal
Now, this has been done quite a few times before, but each are catered to the specifics of the relationship. Hide things in places that are significant to your relationship. For example, the first clue could lead to where you had your first date (or this could be the final place, where the proposal happens), and then make the other clues point to significant places with the final and most significant place leading to the proposal.
Create a milestone montage
Are you someone who wants to include your friends and family into the proposal? Create a mini-movie or montage that either shows huge milestones in your relationship or a mini-movie that plays out the part before the proposal. You can then coordinate proposing right when the movie ends. This may take a lot more planning, but your significant other is worth it. After all, you will be spending the rest of your life with them.
Ski-lift proposal
If you two are total snow birds, you could take them into the ski-lift and make sure you write “____, will you marry me?” in the snow below, making sure they see it when you’re on the lift. Let’s hope that they have a unique name and someone else doesn’t mistake your proposal for theirs. This same thing could be done for parasailing or hang-gliding on the beach.
Coordinate with her favorite author
Maybe your bride (or groom) to-be is a total bookworm. Try reaching out months in advance to their favorite author and find out if they could coordinate with you to sign the book saying, “(Their name), will you marry (your name)?” You can carve out the center to put the ring in. The book will be a magical reminder of how their favorite author not only signed their favorite book, but helped your future husband or wife top off the proposal. Make sure to give this after a romantic dinner in a spot significant to the both of you.
Incorporating elements of you
While all proposals should be as unique as they can be, don’t forget that even if it isn’t quite unique, elements of your relationship will still be inserted into it, meaning it will be unique to both of you. Love is the reason you’re here and love is the reason your significant other will love your wedding proposal. Try not to stress and have a blast! Good luck on your wedding proposal.
